In tih© oaso of William La*T*boe, charged with incest at Taihape, sen--1 tence was postponed, ponding, a Medical examination of tbe prisoner. John Edward Moody, for forgery and uttering at Hastings, was admitted to probation for two j ears, and ordered to pay, £5 towards tho cost of tho proeecution. George Groves, alias Williams,; for forgery and uttering at Masterton/ was sentenced to two years. H© had a record of five, previous convictions. John McConnack, for breaking and entering and theft of a rug, jwas admitted to probation for three; years.
