The Christchurch Homing Pigeon Society flew oS a'raco from Hinds on Saturday. The birds wero liberated nt 12.30 p.m. .The weather was fine, wilh a strong north-east wind blowing. The winner waa Mr A. Hunt's Sn.mbo, which flew the distance of 62 miles 420 yards air-!ine. in 2hrs 7min 33«e0. Tho Society desiro to thar.Tc the *tationmast«r for kindly liberating the birds. The following are tho result*:— A. Hunt a Sambo, 858 yds per minute; A. Farrell s Rosebud, 851 yd- W. Shearman's New Brighton, 847 yds- L. Sander's Robin Link, 841 yds; L. Wa'ton's True Blue, 837 yds; L. Muschamp s Richmond, 833 yds; E. Smith's Linwood. 826 yds; M. Scale's Maxim 793 yds; J. SeaJe's Eclipse, 770 yds.
