Carissima was restricted to a circuit. The Wairarapa winner, White Lie, looking fresh, trotted and cantered. Lowe coupled Blue Bell and Wharekura in a half-niilo dash, which they reeled off' in 51sec, Sir Friscq and Iranis (Soult — Tauhei) clipping n half-second off that time. Artilli.rie did a round in even time. Higgott alb'lted Wailethe, Moata, Liberator, and St. Flora uaefijl work. Prism and Tupono dashed over five furlongs in fair timo. -Eolub (H. Cairns), looking all tho better for racing, did a round of grass, —ing Post and Roosevelt odvered' five furlongs in Imin sjsec. Ukraine, a two-year-old sister to Munjeet and All Red,, shaped nicely over four furlongs in SSsec. The morning's work was' completed by Yosami and Ballarat separately sprinting over fit- furlongs in even time. Sir George Clifford's team, Glenculloch, Clanchattan FUtaVay, Stratagem, and Gold' Beater, arrivo to-day. Prosser's team did not work' before breakfast. .They will gallop later in the day. The Porirua team comprises Gold Crest, Marguerite, Diabolo, Gipsy, 801 l (Stepniak—Belle Clair), Taitoki. All Red, Kuku, Playmate, and Kurawaka. It is not unlikely that Gold Crest will be started in the Challenge Stakes in preference to tho Thompson Handicap. i
