Tie milk famine is practically over, the companies having conceded tho suppliers' demands. THE MURRUNXTNDI ACCIDENT. Several railway officials have been suspended in connection with the Murrunundi accident. The enquiry is proceeding. Robbers were busy after the accident, a number of passengers losing valuables and .personal effects. BURNED TO DEATH. ADELAIDE, April 20. Mrs Elsley and her daughter, a girl named Hailstone, living in a lonely house at Mount Compass, were burned to death. The house was completely consumed. COMMERCIAL TRAVELLERS' ASSOCIATION. /BRISBANE, April 20. The annual conference of tho United Commercial Travellers' Association of Australasia opened here to-day. Messrs McPherson and Owen represent New Zealand. INTER-STATE CRICKET. (Received April 20th, 10.20 p.m.) BRISBANE, April 20. New South Wales, in- their first innings, ecored 195 (Carter 69, Bardsley 24 Barnes 26). Queensland in their second innings have four wickets down for 120 (Redgrave 44). COLLAPSE OF STAGING. (Received April 2fst, 1.6 a.m.) SYDNEY, April 20. A sensation occurred at the buckjumpers' show. Staging carrying several hundred people collapsed. Eleven were injured, but none seriously.
