GOLF.
The golf tournament -was continued d*y on the Shirley links, the day being occupied with ft bogey handicap and bogey foursomes. The handicap was won by 11. B. Lrask (Christchxirch), -who finished up with two down, doiaj lie round in 80. J. R. Park and T- Biydone (Duoodin) were fairly well tip, and filled wooed and third places respectively.. The bo£<ey foursomes was annexed by H. C. Smith and B. J. Smith (Ihicodin), tvbo finished one dowio—a very meritorious performance. This p«r hare twice previously tied for this eves* m Chfisichurch, and their win on this corafhn by a puKstantiaJ margin, was not unexpected They ket six holes, halved seven, m:d won the remaining five. The sixteenth hole waa w©r» in two, B. Smith's clock shct goims to the edge of Hid groan, orA H. Smith ho!ed with a beautiful put. The last hole was halved in four, B. Smith just missing a Ion? put. The last five ho!«s -were done in 18, against bogey's 17, which wus c decidedly good performance for the. day, and quite outdistanced the other players.
