RANGIORA.

There has been a fair amount of produce offering, but the markets generally havo exhibited an easier tone. Tbo downward tendency of the Homo market has been reflected locally, and buyers of wTieat aro not so keen to purchase, although prices cannot bo said to havo given way with muling lines, which still command 4s 4d. Oats are still firmly held, and the market remains healthy at 2s M and 2s od. Chaff has receded by 5s per ton, now being quoted at £3 15s, at which price sales have taken place. Potatoes have also suffered a decline, and £3 10s per ton is now tho average price for Up-to-Dates and Derwents, which are hardly ripe enough for shipment, though digging is now being proceeded with. Other sorts are nominally worth £3 15s. Beans are nominally worth 3s 6d per bushel. Partridge peas aro at 3s 9d to 3s lOd. Blue peas are almost unprocurable, at prices which vary very considerably. There is practically no new clover seed.offering, but in tho course of a few days samples will bo on sale. Tho prospects for cow grass seed are very good; white clover is likely to remain at lato rates.

ASHBURTON PRODUCE SALES. At the Ashburton produce sales on Saturday, there was only a small entry, and a "moderate attendance. Hens realised from Is 3d to 2s Id, roosters 2s 3d to 2s sd, ducks 4s Gd—all at per pair. Wheat 14s and 15s per sack, onions Id per lb, potatoes 7s to 9s per sack.
