A -very enjoyable, social evening -was* spent 4 recentJy ,by the residents of Kowai Bush, . and the: promoter,— Messrs P. R. Johnson, W. Dean, W. Martin and T. Gray—are to be congratulated on the success that Attende_ their efforts. ■ Duri-dgthie. evening a progressive euchre match wis played. The winners of the first prizes were Mrs J. O. Evan and TVIr C. Rodgers: Songs and recitations were given by Messrs Martin, Dean, Wilkins, Mathie, Knight and, Cameron, and gramaphone selections by Mr Rodgers. ■ JV£r J. C.
