ROAD BOARDS.
AKAROA AND WAINUI
The last monthly 'meeting of the Akaroa and Wainui Road-Board was attended. by Messrs Checkley (ohairman), Mulcock, Armstrong and Pettigrew. Messrs Wynn-Williains .. Amd Brown wrote regarding -Mib Vanstone's road, complaining -of the annoyance caused through people ' grazing stock on the road. lt was resolved to instruct the foreman to report offenders ■and the Board would take'proceedings. The "Department of Roads wrote, doclarinrr White's road a district road. The Chairman said the Board would take the road over. With regard to the metal at Barry's Bay, Mr Checkley stated tho County Council definitely refused to crush the metal at the present place, as it was dangerous, but would buy tho metal prepared from the Board at cost prioe. It was resolved that the Council be offered the metal at 3s per yard, and that if the offer was not accepted the metal oould *° l**}** -,/°. R - P «t*i_rovv's to be crushed. Mr Armstrong reported that Robinsons Bay road repairs might be reported that the Mount Boom' road wanted widening badly, and it was de- * matter in his hands.
