(PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) DUN-BDIN, April 18. The Inter-University Tennis Championship Tournament was commenced to-day in fine weather. Tho best game witnessed was the contest between Bundle and Cower (Ota-jo University) and Prouic and Reeve (Victoria College). In tho Hen's Doubles, in the final set "Wellington did not show up quite so well as in the two preceding sets, and were defeated by Otagu by Gto 1. The outstanding game in the Men's Singles was l>ctweon Jennings (Canterbury College) and Prouse (Victoria College), the latter being the -holder of the championship. Jennings played a brilliant game, and inflicted j a rather severe, defeat. Prouse was not playing up to form. Results:— Men's Single;— First round: G. Gower (Otago) beat R. P.
