OBITUARY.
♦ . The "Southland Times" reports a eudden death which occurred on Saturday at Tokonui Gorge, near Fortrose. Miss Sengs tor, widely know end respected throughout Southland, wae teacher there, and on Saturday afternoon, ac she wee not eeen about her residence, a neighbour entered, and found her lying unconscious ofl her bed. Medical aid was speedily summoned, but Miss Sangster died in the evening without having recovered consciousness. There was nothing to euggest foul play, nor hid there been any preceding illness, so that they doctor wes unable to gire a death certificate. An inquest wae therefore necessary. Mies Sangster, who w-ae fortyftve jears of age, had been in the service of the Southland Education Board for many years. Considerable regret was expressed ywsterday at the somewhat sudden death from pneumonia of Mr T. Turrell formerly of the firm of Thompson and rurrcll. Mr Turrell had been suffering from the prevailing epidemic of influenza, upon which pnoumonia supervened. F
