The date proposed for the AiicklandCanterhury matoU in Cbristchurch for the Plunkfit Shield, December l«h, 16th niul 17th, has been accepted by tho local Association. In the suburban competition (junior) at New Brighton on Saturday the local eleven <lofeated Racecourse by an innings and 41 runs. The ecore3 were: — Brighton 84 (Evans 20, Hunter 13, Thompson 12 not out, and- Crenswell 13); Racecourse 20 and 23 (Exton 10). For the winners Sefton, Evans and I Creeswell bowled best, and for tho j losers Exton, Browu and Kennedy. I
