Tho Richmond Amateur Swimming Club hold the first race of the season last evening over a distance of lo yards. 'J lie follow ins is the result: — First heat: F. Bridges (4Js<cf) 1, A. L. Howard (2<ec) dead heat. Final: F. Bridges 1, J. Fraser 2. The second annual meeting of tho Waltlnm Amateur Swimming Clnh was held on Friday evening. Dr. Riwsd l*ing in tho chair. The chairman, "in moving the adoption of %,"* report and balance-sheet, congratulated tho dub on having come through its first year succcis-fnliy.
