SWIMMING.
■ A meeting of the committee of the Fendelton Swimming Club was held in the echoolroom on Thursday. It was decided to open the •epeon on Saturday, October 19th at 2.45 p.m. and a numbor of swimming events were arranged. The' annual carnival was fixed to be held on January 18th, 1908. Mr T. A. Wilson was { appointed delegate to the Canterbury Centre and club. handicapper. The club is being supported enthusiastically by the residents of Fendalton ? a large number of new members being elected. '
