MELBOURNE, October 11 The prico of the 41b loaf has been raised to 6jd, owing to the dearnees of flour- • D F£ED]N. October 11. The price of bread is to be put up to 7*dMesere Dalgety and Company. Ltd., hare received the following cable npfsagp from their London office, under date 10th inst.:— "Price* for frozen rputton are weak. A deofine of id is expected. .Since our last telegram -New Zealand crossbred limb prices ere unchanged. Frozen beef there is more demand for, but at lower pricee." Messrs Dalgety and Company, hin.ited, havo received the following cc-ble message from their head office :— "Uutter market firm. Tlie Copenhagen official quotation is 2 kroner* Higher. The totil imports into the Ini ted Kingdom for the week ending October sth, were GG.OOOcwt, -while the imports for the corresponding wee-k 4 last year were 8o,000cwt."
