THE NEW ARBITRATION BILL.

« The Temuka of the Farm Labourers' Union at a recent meeting considered the Arbitration, Bill, -and the following resolution was passed 1 :— '•That this branch of tho Farm Labourers' Union protests against tho Bill on the lines of tho manifesto issued by the Canterbury Trades Council, and especially does out protest apply to Uio clauses interfering with iho management of Union funds, saying whom we shall appoint as officers, and dealing with an aspect of compulsory unionism. Wβ consider that the principles of the Bill will, if passed'into law, be entirely destructive of unionism and tho epirit of unionism." Tho Dorvo Branch of the Farm Labourers' Union passed the following resolution at a xecent meeting:—'"That this branch of the Union agrees with the Canterbury Trades Council's manifesto on the Arbitration Bill, and calls upon Mr Hardy, M.H.R.. tie member for the district, to oppose, the provisions of it, particularly provisions interfering with Union funds and officers."
