SPREYDON SCHOOL BAZAAR.
With the object of raising funds for sinking an additional well for tho local bath and improving the school grounds, a bazaar was opened in the Spreydon school yesterday afternoon. There wee an attractive display of articles of o varied description, the stall-holders being:—Dress, Mesdamee Knight, Bowden, and Steel, and Miss "Dash; jumble, Misses Gott and Gates; flowor, Misses Comer (2); children's, Mri Hunnibell and Miss Stevens; produce, Mr Harry Brown; refreshment, Mm Deans; confectionery, Mrs Lowkey; hrnn tub, Misses Phyllis Knight and Trixie Bow-den; shooting gallery, Mr H. R. Knight, The competitions resulted as follows: —Best vaso of flowers (judged by Mr R. Xairn), Francis Hunim 1. Trixie Bowcle.n 2; cookery competitione( (jmlged by Mrs J. D. "Hall)— Children's —iSpoiics," Ruth Bonnett 1, Chrissie Vizir 2; sponge. May Petric 1 : open — BlMin'.'C. Miss Ptigley 1, Miss Ethel Comer 2: scones, Miss Ethel Comer 1. Mrs M. E. Bonnett 2. In connection with the weight-guessing competition, a sheep was presented by Mr Blumskv, another t>einu; given by Mr F. C. Wilson (Cashmere). Th<> officials are:—Mr P. .Sykes (chairman), Messrs F. W.
