(press association telegram.) AUCKLAND, September 9. Tiiomae Moehan, licensee of Glocson'e Hotel, was charged at tho Magistrate's Court to-day witli having committed a broach of the licon&ing laws on August 23rd by eerving liquor to persona other than boarders after closing hours, two charges being preferred. Defendant pleaded not guilty. Sergeant Griffiths statod that a few minutes after ten o'clock he entered tho promisee, and in a small room behind the bar ho found four men seated, with glasses in front of them, on© glass being practically full of boer. Defendant hsd Raid tho men were boarders, whereas only <mo was. Median, who said he had Ik»M a license for twenty-one years, oikT thet no charge had provjoimly boon brought agai.net him, etated that tho men wore served -with their drinks before ten o'clock, and had stayed' talking in t!h«» room. After a groat deal of evidence had boon taken, Mr Dyer, S.M., dismissed the case.
