PRICE OF FLOUR IN SYDNEY.
SYDNEY, September 7. Owing to the advance in wheat, city millers increased the price of flour 10e & ton. It is now quoted at £10. The weather ie exceptionally dry. The rainfall in July and August was the lowest for forty years.
The New Zealand Farmers' Co-opera-tive Association of Canterbury (Limited) is in receipt of the following cable message from its London office, dated 6th inst.:—"We quote to-day c vilue of prime Canterbury lamb delivered to Smithfield market, carcases 281b to 361b. at ojd per lb; 361b to 421b, at 5W per lb, 421b to 601b, at 4|d per lb. We quote to-day'e value of prime Canterbury mutton delivered to Smithfield market, circeeos, 481b to 561b, 4Jd per lb, 561b to 641b, at 4Jd per lb; &lb to 721b, at 3sd per lb* The wheat market has advanced 9d."
