A match was pkyed at Lancaster Park on Saturday, prior to the representative game, between teams representing Mason, Struthers end Co. and a combined fifteen from Recce *nd Sons end Craddock, Orr and Co. An interesting game resulted in a draw, 3 points each, F. Hendereon scoring a try for Mason, Struthers and Co., and E. Henderson for the combined teem. Mr T. E. Sexton was referee, while Messrs W. Morley and P. J. Craddock were touch judges. Playing two men short, Sydenham Rovere defeated Wherenui by 5 points to 3. For the winners, F. Hill scored a try, -which was converted by P. 'Watson. A football match was played on Saturday afternoon on . the Officers' Point Recreation, Ground, Lyttelton, between teams representing No. 5 Company Garrison Artillery (Navale), and No. 7 -Company (N. Battery) After a fairly even game No. 7 Company won by 9 points to 6 points. For the winners Bombardier Lanyon and Gunner Reed scored tries, and Gunner Thomas kicked a goal from a mark. Lieutenant Barker and Gunner Gunn ecch scored one try for No. 6 Com. pany. Mr D. Melt a c was referee. In the evening the Navals entertained the winners at a smoke concert in the Drill3hed.

The Riohmond Sohool Old Boya journeyed to Burabam on Saturday and played tho boys of tho school. After a fine, open game, the match resulted in a win. for the visitors by 22 points to three. Tries were obtained for the winners by E. Dingle (2), J. Norrie (2), and F. Smith (1). T. Delamare and E. Dingle each converted a try, and the latter also kicked a penalty goal.
