(PRESS ASSOCIATION TELKOKAjr.) AUCKLAND, July 30. "Does not the- Chamber of Commerce fix the rates of commission in Auckland?' - asked Mr C. C. Kettle, S.M., during,the hearing of a claim for commission to-day respecting the eale of "I'm afraid not," replied Mr J. K. Reed, solicitor for plaintiff. "It ought to," mud the Magistrate; "that course is followed in other centres." "I wish it were here," eaid plaintiff; "it would bo a grent convenience." A little later another witnme, Mr William Mowbray, wae naked why th« Chamber of Commerce did not fix oommiasion rates. He replied, "I don't think they toncn hotel work at all. "Would it not be well to get the rates clearly defined P" "I have often thought of that. Still, there are always men without offices who go loafing and cadging round other offices trying to pick up other people's customers and will offer to do the work for £10."
