C. Winny. J.P's.) Four first offenders were each fined • r ts, in default 48 hours' imprisonment for drunkennes-s. David Campbell, -i s-tatutory second offender, was convicted and discharged. John Hurst, deemed to lie an idle and disorderly person with insufficient lawful means of support, was sentenced to three months' imprisonment.
Frederick Bailey pieadod guilty to charges of having been drunk, of having l-oei* cruel to fowl-;, ami of having assaulted the Inspector for th-; Society for th© Prevention ©f Cruelty to Animals. The Bench inflicted a I'm© of 5s for inebriety, 20s for tho cruelty to fowls, and a similar amount for having assaulted the inspector.
