COLONEL BELL,
United Press Association—By Electrio Telegraph—Copj right. SYDNEY, July 8. Tlie death is announced of Colonel Bell, formerly American Consul.
Another of Canterbury's old colonists has just passed away in the person of Mrs Hannah Stewart, who died at her residence, Picton avenue, Lower Riccarton, on Sunday morning. She came to the colony with her father, the late Mr Isnae Mawson, by the ship Cornwall in 1851, fifty-six years ago. .She was 03 years of age nt the time of her death, and leaves a family of four sons and five daughters, and sixteen grandchildren to mourn their loss.
