FATAL RAILWAY ACCIDENT.

_ *) AN ENGINE DRIVER KILLED. An engine driver, named Douglas Young, while engage.l in shunting operations at the railway yard late last night, was crushed between two trucks and killed. • 'flio accident was a most peculiar 0110. Young was driving an engine, to which wero attached three trucks, Irom oho set of rails to another. Three other trucks wero standing qn tho latter rails, but so close to tho points :tliat Young's engine just grazed tho end one in passing. The trucks behind - wcro wider than the engine, and tho fust struck tho end of one of tho standing trucks and damaged it to some extont. Immediately aftorvrartla Jii- - * iint truck hit one of tho others, and ho by some means was caught b.twoon and crushed. His injuries were sovcre, and death was almost'instantaneous.
