The "Spectator" states that the Imperial Conference' Blue Book .show, that tho Piemiers were unable to roalieo that" the Freetraders object to giving preference not out of love for foreigners but because they do not wiah to make holes in British taxes, which would thereby becomo unproductive. Taxes are not devised for juggling States into wealth or putting money into private pockets without benefiting the poor. Tho Blue Book also shows how unjust wore the allegations of discourtesy towards the Premiere.
