Engineer-Commander Silk, who was found after having been lost for some days in the Northern Territory, was tracked for many miles by a blaekfellow. THE INCOME TAX DECISION. MELBOURNE, June 9. The verdict in the income tax cases was a majority ono. The High Court declined leave to appeal to tho Privy Council. As a result of the -decision Sir John Forrest states that a Federal Bill will bo introduced to provide for the collection of State income fax from Commonwealth officers. INTER-VARSITY BOAT RACE. In tho inter-University boat race Sydney beat Victoria by three lengths. Adelaide was a bad third.
