WAIMATE.
An adjourned meeting of the Waimato Licensing Committee was held in the Waimate Courthouse yesterday. Present— Keddell, S.M. (chairman), Dr. Barclay, and Mr J. Sinclair. Tho time for closing tho licensed premises of the Terminus Hotel, Hakataramea, for tho year commencing July let, 1907, was fixed at 10 o'clock. At the Court yesterday, before Major Keddell, S.M., in tho case of the Waimate County Council v Norah Foley, a chargo of allowing cattle to trespass on a country road ; Mr Hamilton appeared for tho council. Defendant pleaded guilty. As defendant had paid pound fees in this case, on the application of plaintiffs' solicitor, only i nominal fine of ls was inflicted, with costs £1 17s.
