TIMBER WORKERS' DISPUTE.
a (rRESS ASSOCIATION TTXECRAM.) WELLINGTON, June 7. Tho Conciliation Board has filed its recommendations in tbe timber workers dispute. The recommendations affect some 300 emploj-ers, whoso places of business extend over nearly half of the North Island. , The most noticeable featuro of tbo recommendations is the proposed increase of wages to unskilled workers. The minimum wage under tlie, current award is 7s per day; the Board recommend an increase to £2 8s per week, or 13 Id per hour, outside the city of Wellington. Forty-five hours shall constitute a week's work.
