SIDE DRUM.
Tho side drum solos were judged by Lieut. W. G. Bent ley on the Sports Ground. Those taking part were:—(». Tret how n (Junp's Hand). F. A. Millar (TuapekaV A. Jacob* (Lyttelton Marine). J. G. Oaborne (Kaikorni), J. Curlene (Dunedin Citizen's), J. Russell (Dunedin Navels), W. Woodward (Nelson), R. R. Cox (Waihi), C. Cooper (Wangaimi), and J. .Stewart (Invcrcargill Garrison). Those chosen to play off for first and second places were Mewrs A. Jacobs, II R. Cox, nnd C. Cooper. Tho concluding tost was decided in the Concert.
