DISEASED MEAT FROM QUEENSLAND.

Tho salesman is indignant at the laxity of the officials in allowing the animal to bo exported. SPOTTED FEVER EPIDEMIC. The deaths from cerebro-spinal-meningitia arc increasing in Dublin, Edinburgh, and Belfast. Twenty-si* deaths occurred in Glasgow in three days, chiefly among tho poorest classes.

BRITISH SHIPPING REGULATIONS.

Mr Lloyd-George's Advisory Committee will co-oporato with the Board of Trado in administering the Shipping Regulations. The committee will consist of 16, the Board of Trade to nominate 3, the shipowners' Parliamentary Committee to select 4, the shipbuilders, underwriters, certificated officers, and seamen 2 each, and firemen ono. (Received February 13th, 11.56 p.m.) NEW YORK, February 13. Dr. Evans, a mental specialist, deposed that he agreed with Dr. Wagner's view that Thaw did not know that the shooting of White was wrong. He examined prisoner eight times. At first he suffered from exaggerated '"ego," but gradually his mind passed, from an explosive condition to one of greater calmness.
