(press association telegbak.) DUNEDIN, September 7. A firo broko out tliis evening in a six-roomed house in High etreet, owned by Mr J3. Greenwood, and occupied by Mrs Rolls, wife of tho captain of tho Tarawera, and spread to an adjoining cloven-rooiiMid house owned by Mr George FenwickjjßJid occupied by Mrs Monk. Both residences were praotieally destroyed with their oontente. Mr Greenn-ooda house was insured for £300 in the National Office, and Mrs Itolls'e furniture for £300 in the New Zealand Office. She- <wtimatee her lose at £'2oQ above tho insurance. Mr Fenwick had recently reduced the policy on his house to £500 in the New Zealand Office. Mrs Monk's furniture was insured for £250 in the itajichester Office, and her eon's furniture for £100 in tho National Office.
