STORE SHEEP. Tho entry of storo sheep totalled about 2000, and were mostly hoggets and wethers. Slost of the latter changed hands, while only a few lots of hoggets wero sold, the prices asked being abovo buyers' limits. Among tho sales were 266 wethers at 20s 7dT 62 at 20s sd, and 110 at 20s 3d, 750 hoggLts at 16s lOd, 39 at 16a 6d, 105 at 10s 2d, and 94 at 14s 8d to 15s Id.

FAT SHEEP. Thero was a good yarding of fit sheep, mostly halfbreds and crossbred wethers, with a few pens of ewes and several lines of merino wethers. The salo opened dull, with prices rather weaker, except for prime heavy sheep, but they improved towards tho close, when graziers operated more freely, and took a number of lots of unfinished sheep. The rango of prices was:—Prime wethers 22s 6d to 2os 9d, others 19s 2d to 22e; ewes, prime 20s to 23s 3d, medium 18s to lite 6d, hoggets 18s to 19s, prime merino wethers 17s 6d to 19s 9d, good 16s to 17s. .The following wero the principal sales:—Wethers —G. FAT CATTLE. The yarding of fat cattle totalled 275, a good proportion being prime quality steers and hoifers. The supply being requirements, tho sale was irregular and prices easier. especi?lly for prime quality, cows and second-quality steers and . heifers selling veil up to tho previous weeks rates. Among tho sales were:—D. Rutherford (Leslie Hills), 6 steers, £12 to £13 los, and 10 heifers £8 17s Gd to £10 10s.; Courage Estate (Amberley), 7 steers, £9 Us Gd to £12; B. Haves (Halkett), 4 steers, £9 17s Gd to £12 and 3 heifers, £8 2s Gd to £8 17s Gd; W. Doubleday (Kaiapoi), 12 steers, £6 10s to £11 15s; Lewis and Brown (Oxford), 9 steers £9 17s Gd to £11 10s; Mrs Lemon (Killinehy), G steers, £9 7s Gd td"£ll; J. Osborne (Dovlestcn), 3 steers, £10 7s Gd to £10 17s Gd, and 2 heifers, £9 2s Gd to £10; other 6teers brought £7 to £12; heifers, £5 12s Gd to £10 12s Gd, and cows £4 17s Gd to £8 12s Gd, equal to 22s to 26s ncr 1001 b, according to quality. Veal calves sold at 7* Gd to £2 15s. STORE AND DAIRY CATTLE. The entry of store cattle was made up chiefly of small lots, of which two-year-olds were the best. 'Thero was a fair amount of business done at the following rate:—Yearlings 2Gs, fifteen to eighteen months 31s to 535, two-year steers £3 12s Gd, two-year heifers £2 12a Gd, three-year steers (few four years), £5 7s Gd, thrco-vear heifers £3 15s, dry cows £1 13s to £3 10s. Dairy cows met with a fair sale up to £8 ss. PIGS. There was a good yarding of pigs, and prioes all round showed a still furthor advance. A lino of 20 baconers from J. A. Slcßae Peacock (Swannanoa), sold at 53s to 755, a_d 7 heifers 48s to 50s fid, and 7 baocners from the Sunuyside Mental Hospital, 69s to 775. Other baconers made 60s to 755, porkers 28s to 445, medium stores 16* to 20s, a few to 21s. small 10s Cd to 15s, and woaners to 10s. A sow and litter of twelve were sold at £7.
