PUBLIC SCHOOLS' AMATEUR ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION.

Tho annual meeting of the Nortii Canterbury Public vScliools' Amatour Athletic Association wa.s hold on Saturday. Mr J. Baldwin presiding. Tho report and balance-sheet, of which a summary has been already published, were adopted. Officers vrero elected as follows: —President, Mr J. C. Adams, vice-presi-dents, Messrs J. Baldwin, T. S. Foster, C. D. Hardie, T. Hughes, J. B. Moyne, K. Watkins; council, Messrs J. J. Adams, Grant, M. Lynskey, C. Pratt, -W. Brock, S. C. Owen. P. Men7Acs, O. T. Aschman, W. N. Seay, W. Bean, G. Petrio, J. Voss, Bro. Basil, Mis-es Baldwin and Spcnce; hon. gen. secretary, Mr F. T. Evans; assistant hon. secretary, Mr F. D. Waller; hon. treasurer, Mr Georgo Schneider; auditors, Messrs C. Allard and J. R. Sinclair. A letter was received from the secretary of tho Arbor Day League, stating' that there was a deficit of £27 in connecting witOi the firee-pbnting ceremony and concert, and requesting the Association to make a donation. It was decided that the_ Association •was unable to grant any its funds as suggested. Several recommendations to tho Council woro made concerning the rules.
