Elliott has officially informed the officials of tho Hokitika Methodist Church that he is unable to accept an invitation to remain at tho Hokitika Cliuroh for a fourth year. Mr Samuel Robinson, who has been secretary of the Wellington and Wairarapa Charitable Aid Board, and Welington District Hrapital Board for some years, is resigning l>oth positions. Miss Alye Lowth, a London journalist, who was tho first lady to make the trip to Tutoko from Sutherland's accommodation houso at Milford Sound, and had a somewhat trying experience in the bush on that occasion, is again visiting New Zealand. Sho is expected to reach Christchurch this week. One of the successful candidates in the iecont Board of Education election in Marlborough was the Rev. W. B. Scott, formerly Methodist minister of Amberley, but now of Havelock. Mr Scott was a candidate for the West Ward with four other gentlemen. Hβ was returned at the head of the poll, obtaining 152 voted out of a possible 170.
