EXTENSIVE LOAN OPERATIONS. (FBKS!> ASSOCIATIO.V TZLXCBAM.) WELLINGTON, August 11. Extensive loan operations are being carried out by the Wellington Harbour Board. It has power to borrow £850,000, and of that amount arrangements have been made for the issue of the A.M:P. Society for £3-50,000, to the Citizens' Life Aesuraaioe Society for £250.000, and to the Mutual Life Association for £50,000. The British bondholders are to be offered the option of taking up £150,000 of the loans that are to be renewed. The loans also oover the repayment of £200,000 of old loans, which fall due next February. The money is to be spent on the dock (for which the dredging within c month of being completed), the new King's Wharf northward of the Glasgow Wharf (and of even larger size),, a wharf at Clyde O\ and a new wharf at Petone, and ging.
