THE OAKBURN LOST AT THE v CAPE.

The steamer Oakburn, which left New York for Sydney on April 18th, wm totally wrecked at Duikerpoint, Oape Colony. The orew were saved. (Received May 24th 1.35 a.m.) SYDNEY, May .23. The Oagbnrn had a oai'go for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, and DunMELBOURNE, May 23. The loss of the Oakburn. has caused some excitement in insurance circles. The local agents of the vessel state that she carried a cargo of about 8000 tons, valued at £200,000, and including 1000 tons of rails for %he Victorian Government. Most of the Australasian insurance companies hold lines on. the cargo mangjng from £5000 to £20,000. The hull," which was valued at £4*>,000, is believed to be insured in the Home offices.
