NEW BRIGHTON BOROUGH COUNCIL.

The New Brighttm Borough Council met on Morfday night. Prtsent—Th© Mayor (Mr 6. D. Macfarlane), Crs. Glawrille, Hawker, Sooble, Bellamy, Mason, lepaolson, Lightbody aaid o€ley. Cr. The clerk to tho Avon Road Board wrote enclosing a cheque for the Board's share cf maintenance or Boundary road, and stating that notices would be served on, property owners to clear gorse spreading from their properties on to that road. Mr J. Caygill notified hie resignation from the chairmanship of tho Lighting Committee, ■and Cr. Mason was elceted in his stead. Cr. Scoblo-'s namo wais added to the committee. Mr H.
