AMBERLREY STEEPLECHASE CLUB.
The annual goncral meeting of the Amberley Steeplechase Club was held at Amborley on Friday evening, Mr G. B. Starky, president, in the chair. The balance-sheet, showing a credit of £135 2s 3d. was read and adopteci. The election of officers resulted as follows:—Patron, Mr A. W. Kutherford, M.H.K.; president. Mr O. B. Starky (reelected); vice-presidents. Messrs F. Courage, T. H. Lance, and li. Acton-Adams; stewards, Messrs Martin, Wells, Lance, Brown, Bowman. Colem.i.i. Jo!ifiston. Thomson, and , Rhodes. The annual race meeting was fixed for the. end of August. The programmo was revised, the two trots on lust year's card boing cut out, their places being taken by a sis , and a seven furlong flat race. A lengthy ! discussion took place with reference to the disqualification of Wild Wind at last year's meeting, and the correspondence between tho . President and the New Zealand Trottinsr I Association was reud. Mr T. H. Lance took strong exception to the treatment the Association had received from the club, and regretted lhat the trouble had not been settled amicably. A vote of thanks to the retiring officials closed tho meeting.
