CURISTCHUHCH SHEEP DOG TRIALS.
Tho fiheep dog trials were concluded 2 on Saturday, when the yarding compoti- 3 tion, for which there, were* twenty-two 3 entries, was got through. The sheep be- 5 ing strong and fresh, gave the dogs some 1 dilficult work to perform, and only throe J were able to yard. Tho winner was Mr § G. L. Rutherford's black Kclpio Lassie, Jj the winner of the heading and yarding % competition at Waitaki recently, who € gave a very-stylish performance, and C Mr \V. W. Mcliaes Casino was second, £ qLso doing good work. At tho close of € the proceedings three hearty cheers were « given for the judge.
