In the elections there Jiavo so far been thirty-six Ministerial gains and eleven losses. FIGHTING LV NIGERIA. The troublesome Emir of Hadeja (Nigeria) having resented British administration, Colonel Cole's expedition from K<ino had five hours' fighting in the etreete of Hadeja. The Emir was captured. There were no European casualties. AMERICAN COAL STRIKE ENDED. NEW YORK, May 8. The American Anthracite strike has ended. The award of 11)03 has been prolonged for three years. The strikers will bo reinstated, excepting those guilty of violence.
