The secretary of tho Board of Control states that, anticipating that the Melbourne Club might, in ignorance of tho true state of affairs, como to arrangement for bringing out an English team, as a matter of fairness to the New South Wales Association, lie has officially informed the club that, in tho event of a team coming, it would not bo permitted to- play in Sydney.
