* . Messrs Dalgety and Co.. Ltd., have received the tol lowing cable message from their London office, dated April 19th:—" The butter market is firmer. If we do not soon have rain an advance in prices is probable. The Copenhagen official quotation is unchanged. Total butter imports into the United Kingdom for the week ending April l<_Ui, 77,000 cwt, as compared with 68,000 cwt. same period last year. More demand for urasalted than salted." Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., have received the following cable message from their London office, under date 10th inst.:—"Th© demand for frozen lamb is active, but prices are weaker The market for frozen mutton is very dull, owing to lack of demand. Arrivals of frozen beef from River Plate ar© heavy. Wo quote prim© Canterbury lamb, heavy 4Jd, light sd; prime North Island, heavy 4d, light 4_d; primo Canterbury mutton, heavy and light in; prim© North Island, 3J<l heavy, 3Jd light. New Zealand prime ox beef, fores 2&d, hinds 3id."
