Professor Tluwnas, of the Auckland Uiiivei-sity College, 011 being interviewed by a "Herald" reporter regarding Professor Milne's theory, said it appsared to him that it would bo extremely difficult to prove any doparture of the earth from it 6 axis. '"There are.* he said, '"sufficiently obvious causes of earthquakes without having recourse to such a theory. If teh eartlh ha"? left is axis it might have been expected to havo affected other regions besides California."
