AMUSEMENTS.
"A MOORISH MAID." The Canterbury Hall was well filled ast night, when *'A Moorish Maid' was repeated by Mr Geo. Stephenson's ..nisical Comedy Company. Ine members of tlio company seemed to havo gauged the capacity of the hall better iliau on the opening night, with the result that tihey were heard to greater advantage. Mies Buckmann was in excellent voice, and was enthusiastically encored for all her solo numbers. A similar compliment was paid to Mr Reeves for his fine singing of "A Bandit tm I." The other members of the company were successful, and in the hands of Miss May Boatty, Messrs Lauri and ..lcNaugbton, and the Bovis Bros., the comedy portion went with a great deal of spirit. Tha orch-astra. under the baton of Mr Hill, and with Herr Zim-merma-rm as leader, did their pah of the work well.
