REFEREES' ASSOCIATION.

(rREss association* telegram.) WELLINGTON, April 16. At tho annual meeting of tho Ixew Zealand Rugby Referees' association the committee, in its report, stated that it felt sure that now the Association was established on a firm basis, it would bo a power for good in bringing referees into closer touch with each other, and in furthering an exchango of ideas upon tho interpretation of the laws of tho game. Tho committee had opened communication with tho New South Wales and Queensland Associations, with the view of endeavouring to secure uniformity of interpretation and rulings upon tho laws of tho game, and the New South Wales As-ociation had replied heartily agreeing to assist in furthering that desirable object. His Excellency Lord Plunket was reelected Patron of tho Association.
