Mr Revell, of the Wellington office of the Union Company, is acting manager a-t Nel9jn in place of Mr Walker, who is. laid aside by illness.

Mr Chatfield has been in the Australian trade for the past eight years, fixtrt on the Fateena and latterl? op the turbine steamer Loongana. Mr Heley. second officer of' the Waikaxe, left tliat vessel at LytteHon on Friday, in order to take the position of acting chief of the RaJcanoa, in place of Mr Allen, la.to of the Whangape, who has oome ashore for instructions. Mr J. McKenzie, who has been on holiday leave, took Mr Helens position on the Waikare. The Wellington "Post" nays th»A cable advice TOceivod by Mr G. H. Scales states that his son, Mr Athol Scales, who eerved his epprentioeehip on the ship Wasdale, well Known in Wellington, hae passed his examination for a second mate's ticket. Mr Scales has been fourth mate of the steamer Aalibiirton, for some time trading on the Australian coast.
The Shaw, Savill and Albion Company's steamer Delphic, now a 4 Auckland on her way to the south from West of England ports, is etill under the command of Captain J. Breeri.
