Tho Now York "Tribune." in recording the arrtfit of officers of the Western Federation of Miners on a cliargo of murder, prints «ome extraordinary details regarding the mode of ju-ea«>ina-ticu followed, jn the mining regions. It says:—"The present arrests in Idaho are due to the eonfesfiion of one Harry Orchard, a member of the Union, who acknowledges murdering ex-Governor Steunenbcrg, of Idaho, recently, and dynamiting fourteen non-Union miiieie at a railway station at Independence. A little screw waft .attaciicd to the gate, and means supplied for making a quick connection wit a a fit ring from the gate to the bomb. One end of till-* string wa« tied to the cork of a bottle containing sulphuric acid, hidden underground. This bottle. w«s placed on the top of a bomb. By the opening of the gate the etring jerked the, cork out of tho bottle. AS'ith the cork drawn, the acid in the bottle ran out upon one hundred giant caps which had been saturated with bi-earbonato of potash and sugar. Tho mixture of the chemicals started » spark, and caueed the explosion of the Iwmb, which consisted of many pounds of dynamite. Precisely the same eorl of bomb wnp planted by Orchard, .'according to his confession, under the gate of Justice (Jabbert, of the Supremo Court of Colorado, who had ventured to vindicate the dignity of tho law against minors' dynamite. It failed to work, but the police have, since tho confession, dug it up as corroborative evidence. Another machine waf> planted in a vacant lot in Denver usually en>fwl daily by Justice Gotklard. of the Supreme Court. Tn this ca.se the string wus tied to a purse. It was planned that tho Justice should pickup the, piiive, and thus fsprinz the trap. Another man did it, and died. , '
