BURNSIDE MARKET.
At l&st u'wk's Burnside market 173 fat cattle were yarded, but only a few pens i were of prime quality. Prices declined 10s to 15s per head, tho fall being most noticeable in medium quality beef. Best bullocks brought £8 5s to £8 15s, medium to good £7 to £8, light £o to £5 15a, best cows and heifers £6 to £6 15s, medium to good £i 10s to £5 10e, light £3 os to £4. Fat sheep—, 11G0 worn penned, mainly medium to good wetlioiß, with a few pons of extra prime. Prices were about on a par with those of last -week, but the sale was not brisk. Extra heavy wethers realised 22s to 23e 6d, good 18s 3d to 20s 6d, medium lGs to 17s, light 14e to 14s 6d, best heavy ewes 15s to 17s 6d, medium 12s to 13s. Fat lambs—s7o were penned, prices being about tho same as last week for prime, but the others were easier. Extra heavy, brought 16s 3d, prime 14s to 14e 9d, medium Hβ 6d to 12s. Pigs—96 were pohhed. Suckers cold at 8s to 10s 6d, slips 10s to 16s, stores 19s to 235, porkers 28s to 34, light baconore 38s to 42a, heavy 44s to 48s.
