DRAINAGE BOARD. CHR3STOHURCH DRAINAGE 'BOARD. LOCAL BODIES LOANS ACT, 1901. "PURSUANT to "The Cbristchiirch DisX triot Drainage Act. 1575." and the Acts amending the came, and "The Local Botlie* Loans Act. 1901." the Cbristchurch Drainage Board hereby gives notice of its desire to obtain tb« conieot of the ratepayers In respect of that part of the district know,! as tf-.e Sewage Area to the Board's BORROWINC A SUM of £100,000 for the putposcs, upgn the security, and otherwise as hereinafter mentioned. The Eaid Loan to be raised in sums of JKG.OOO per annum, tho first part thereof dwine the year ending 31svt March, 1007, and tnereafter st the rate of .£25,000 during each year ending on 31st days of March, IOOP, 1900. and 1910 respectively. The particular undertaking proposed to be engaged in is: — Ertending and improving the existing sewerage system of the Board within ihe said sewage area, in adding to and improving the machinery ami phint at the Purcpirur Station of the Board, pioviding supplementary pumpin? stations, machinery and plant if and whore needed, procuring and providing electrical power for use at any or either oi such pumping stations, providing and laying n, second, main del ivory pipe from the present Pumpin? Station to the Sewa-go Farm at Bromley, the preparation of land at the Bromley Se-wage Farm for trentment with sewage, payment of comruisaion charges and expenses incurred in conn-cction with obtaining authority 1o raise, ajid the raising of the loan and payment of interest on such loan for tbe'firat year after it is raised. The- sum proposed to bo borrowed for such purpose is £100.000, to bo raised in manner atirl at the times before mentioned. The proposed security for the said loan is a epecii! annual recurring , rate of onefifth of a penny in tho £ on the rate-able value of the rateable property within that part of tho Board's district known, and defined as the Sowage Area, as the same is now conMiwjtcd, or as tho same may hereafter be extended. Provision for ropaym«nt of tho said loan will be made- by the Board's re-borrowing a like sum. or so much as taken in conjunction with tho Sinking Fund (if any) as nay be necessary, on tho same or other sufficient security when and as the wid loan falls due. Tho balance (if any) of the said special rale collected and remaining in th.c hands of Iho Board in any year after routing the interest on the loan and cost of raising rate will bo set aside to form a Sinking Fund to be applied in repayment of loan. It ie proposed to pay the cost of raisin? the loan and interest upon the loan for tho first year after tho same i» raised out of tho loan itself. A meeting of the ratepayers of the said Storage Area to consider the said proposal •will be held at tho Caledonian Society's Rooms, Worcester street, in the.
