TORTURE OF PRISONERS
United Prese Association—By Electrio Telegraph—Copyright. ST. PETERSBURG, March 2. Two more of the Hekingfors robbers were arrested at Tammerfom. While being eoarobed one drew a revolver and killed three police, • and wounded two onlookers end a police official. The robber then barricaded himself in an adjacent house and harangued the people from a window, appealing for help on tho ground that he was a social democrat. Nino persons were wounded before the robber was arrested with the aid of the fire brigade. Terrible stories come from St. Petersburg of torture.of prisoners for political reasons. In many instances girls are the victims, lighted cigarettes being applied to their naked bodies, and brutal floggings are indulged in. It is estimated that 68,000 workmen will be permitted to vote at the Duma elections. The Bank of Kieff has failed for
£75,000.
