OBITUARY.
News has been received of the death of Mr T. Hope Muray ,of Mt. Beevor, South Australia,of pneumonia, after a short illness. The late Mr Murray was one of the well-known family of sheep breeders. Mr G. H. Alington, clerk to the Mount Hutt Road Board, died in the Ashburton Hospital yesterday morning, the cause of death being heart trouble following on rheumatism and pleurisy. The late Mr Alington, whoso ago was fifty-five years, bad been in tho colony for over twenty-five yeare, and during' a long period, jesided at Methven. (PKESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) WESTPORT, November 30. Captain. Leech, ex-hartour master at Westport, passed away to-night at the age of sixty-nine years. Tha deceased took the first vessel, a little steamer named Nelson, across the Hokiiika bar. He was harbour master at Westport for about thirty yeare.
